Everyone says they want to go on a diet, usually when we hear the word “diet” we think of weight loss. And most people aim towards a healthy diet, after all we are what we eat.
There is another diet, it’s called the “mental diet” which just as it sounds “mental diet” meaning our brain, our thoughts, what we think, and how we behave towards our selves and others.
I thought, sure must be easy. I was wrong. more than once!
We all have daily challenges, some we know are coming, and others jus hit us by surprise. The ones that I know about I am prepared so I am mostly ready however they almost always go sideways. Now the unexpected ones, well that is another story…. The best I can do is keep my mouth shut for just a little longer than normal, a pause, that almost always eliminates the “knee jerk” reaction and i’m able to remind myself of this mental diet.
